Türkiye's First Clean Hydrogen Ideathon Held in İzmir!
As part of the fight against climate change, a clean energy transformation is becoming a necessity worldwide. Clean Hydrogen is one of the essential tools in the world's clean energy transformation.
Depending on significant developments such as climate change, we need new perspectives and ideas to develop. To reach the innovative ideas of the masses, new idea generation tools and platforms such as ideathons are becoming more common day by day.
For this purpose; Turkey's first Clean Hydrogen Ideathon, which is the first of three ideathon events to be held this year as part of the BEST For Energy Project implemented by İzmir Development Agency (İZKA) in partnership with the Energy Industrialists and Businessmen's
Association (ENSİA), will be held at Yaşar University on October 23-24. was held in Izmir.
Clean Hydrogen Ideathon started with the opening speeches of Yaşar University KTTO Director Necip ÖZBEY and İzmir Development Agency ISO Coordinator H.İ.Murat ÇELİK.
In continuing the event, Aspilsan R&D Engineer Dr. Can SINDIRAÇ, Shura Energy Transformation Center Acting Director Hasan AKSOY, and Siemens Gamesa Project Manager Mikkel SERUP informed the participants about "Why Clean Hydrogen?"
After the speeches, the participants worked in teams to produce innovative ideas and relevant solutions, while industry companies and academics contributed to the groups with mentorship support.
KOSGEB İzmir Manager Dr. Levent ARSLAN, ENSİA Chairman of the Board Alper KALAYCI, Yaşar University Energy Systems Engineering Department Head Dr. Emrah BIYIK, İZKA Investment Support Office Coordinator H.İ. Murat ÇELİK and Yaşar University KTTO Director Necip ÖZBEY, made their evaluations after the presentations and the winning projects were announced.
The HydroS team won first place with their "Hydrogen in a Nutshell" project, the Cyclizm team won second place with their "Transform the Future with İzmir" project, and the Ulujen team won third place with their "From Waste to Value" project.
The ideathon events held in İzmir within the BEST For Energy Project will continue with BEST For Wind on November 20-21, 2021, and BEST For City Ideathons on December 4-5 2021.
